I am quite happy that at last I am able to update Multi Time Zone Clock to next version 0.3 even after my busy schedule.
With this version I am able to add features that are useful for both, you and me (In terms of providing you future enhancement by understanding current usage trend)
First let's talk about benefit you are getting with 0.3 Release.
Now some benefit that I will get from this release (not financially).
With this version I am able to add features that are useful for both, you and me (In terms of providing you future enhancement by understanding current usage trend)
First let's talk about benefit you are getting with 0.3 Release.
- In Clock view
- Direct increase/decrease time or time zone on central zone.
- Added ":" that wend missing after update to version 0.2 because of change in color.
- In Time Zone list
- Facility to add/edit time zone by selecting row instead of individual button in list.
- Showing color of selected time zone in List.
- In Time Zone detail
- Use of color picker for color selection instead of 3 sliders for color. (With the help of beautiful color picker "HoloColorPicker" created by "Lars Werkman".
- When user lands to details page, till now by default key board popped up as default focus in Time Zone Name text box, which is quite inconvenient. But with this release key board will be hidden by default and user must have to touch text box to open key board.
Now some benefit that I will get from this release (not financially).
- Integration with "Google Analytics"
- While looking at statistics provided by Google Play Developer console (which is excellent by the way), I have felt that even though it provides me so many details, it is not sufficient. It only provides me count related to users, but not about what users are doing actually.
- Then comes "Google Analytics" in picture. Now with the help of Google Analytics, I will be able to track what users are doing. Like,
- how many time zones are added by user,
- which time zones are used by most users,
- how users are looking at time other than current (using circle or central zone), what is average session for user per page, etc.
- This is going to help me understanding how users are using this help and where it lacks, and it is going to help me in making this app more usable and with better user interface.
- As Google Analytics is integrated, I had to allow this application for two new permissions. To access state of internet and to access internet. I can assure you that this permissions are required only to access Google Analytics and no other user. This application is going to work even in offline mode without any issue.
- Google Analytics does not collect personal details regarding users like email id, name, gender, age, etc. through which user can be identified.
Go to Google Play Store and install/update this application to get new features, and don't forget to provide your valuable ratings and comments on play store.

Pratik Sheth
